Raphael Beuf

Born in a musical family in Paris (France), he starts playing cello at age 3. He is quickly noticed by his teacher and often participates in classical music european meetings. He joins a musical program while going to school and learns drums, bass and piano before starting playing guitar and trumpet. He's performed in countries such as Italy (Torino classical music festival), the U.K (Trinity College of London), France (Maurice Ravel Opera house in Lyon, Macon Jazz Festival) and the United States (Chicago Symphony Center, Lincoln Hall, Caffé Vivaldi in New- York). Having music theory and cello conservatory diplomas, he now attends the Bloom School of Jazz in Chicago under the mentorship of master David Bloom. Permanent guitarist of the Merit School of Music Honors Combo, he is also part of the school's Big Band as a trumpeter. Based in Chicago, he regularly plays for private events as well as concerts for various projects, in musical styles such as jazz, rock, pop, rap, electronic and classical. He is often solicited as a guitarist, a composer and an arranger. He also teaches guitar.
