With a vocal style described by fans as “delectable, soothing, angelic, sassy and lilting..." Bessier's diverse musical background - which has included singing in Afro-Cuban drumming ensembles, a cappella groups, Latin big bands, small jazz ensembles, gospel choirs, classical and folk groups and musical theater - informs both her vocal choices and her songwriting.
Whether swinging on a standard, floating on a bossa, or offering up a ballad, Robin's crystal clear tones and lyrical, conversational style are delivered within a strong rhythmic groove.
Robin Bessier has a voice that sparkles, clear and lucid as a flowing stream bubbling with vivacity...Bessier's own Right Here, Right Now reminds me of some of Flora Purim's old catalogue, bursting with joy even when wistful.
~Mark Turner, FAME Review
"God Bless The Child" and "Prelude To A Kiss" are tunes that can simply eat up a vocalist of lesser talent, Robin Bessier owns these tunes with impeccable phrasing, timing and that special connectivity with the average listener to really seal the deal.

Robin Bessier is a standup lady who knows her stuff and who is completely able to share all of that with us. She is already on top!
She has been devoted to her very natural love of jazz, a propensity she reveals with sparkle on this very well devised and performed CD.
Robin very easily transitions from swing, Brazilian/Latin, blues, be-bop, gospel and original music styles, equally comfortable in each and on this CD she offers a taste of many of these styles. Her voice is very obviously a well-trained instrument - not only a beautiful sound but also a voice that can remain in control despite any vocal demand hurdles. Obviously a performer who cares about her backup, she has assembled a fine group of musicians.
