Paris was loaded with French saxophonists in the years immediately after World War II. Native-born eed players included Alix Combelle, Michel de Villers, Michel Attenoux, William Boucaya, Maurice Meunier, Andre Teddy" Hameline and Andre Debonneville, Armand Conrad, to name a handful.
