Knu Gmoon (‘New Moon’) Project is a Brooklyn-based sextet with a fresh and intuitive approach to modern jazz and improvisation. A fusion of simple, straightforward musical ideas (folk/indigenous), with more propellent and/or complex musical ideas (environmental), both react to the other’s different speed, intensity, and mood, forming an exciting and new mode for improvisation.

Bassist/composer Noah Jarrett leads the group with a strong backbone and rhythmic prowess, as drummer/tabla Rohin Khemani and percussionist Rich Stein weave and propel the groove forward. -Professional Upright & Electric Bassist -B.A. in Jazz Performance New England Conservatory 2002 -Upright & Electric Bass, Guitar, and beginning piano teacher -10+ years of teaching experience (Private/School/Camp settings) (adults who are serious about advancing on their instrument) -Great with kids: engaging to make music fun, but goal driven to develop good concentration -10+ Years performance experience (Clubs/recordings/functions) -Focus on ear training, theory, technique, rhythm, in balance with writing/creating songs, working with many instruments, and having fun. -Teaches from a home studio or can travel to you -$60 per hour
