Paul Wells

Paul Wells began playing drums at the age of ten in his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. He moved to the New York area to attend the jazz program at William Paterson University where he studied with John Riley. Paul has since performed and recorded internationally with a diverse selection of artists including Deborah Harry, Joe Williams, Norman Simmons, Randy Brecker, Eric Alexander, Joel Frahm, Bob DeVos, Larry Goldings, Rufus Reid, Mark Murphy, Rick Margitza, Dave Valentin, Houston Person, David Leonhardt, The Duke Ellington Legacy, Glen Burtnik, and the rock group Spiraling. He endorses Pro-Mark drumsticks and Istanbul Agop cymbals. Paul also writes educational articles for Modern Drummer magazine.
