Raffaele Amenta

Raffaele Amenta plays saxophone and clarinet. He studied in Bologna. Raffaele Amenta also teaches music at Cultural Association "La Barberia" in Bologna. Took his first steps as a professional in 2007 and founded the jazz quartet "ProgettoLigeia". The band's music focuses on the compositions of Thelonious Monk and original compositions of their own. In 2009 as the "Raphael Amenta 4tet" working on original compositions that include extensive use of the resources offered by free improvisation. The quartet released a cd "Human Being". In the same period to keep the sax solo concerts. At sax solo record music for the film "Memoriale", and the music for the film "Le Corbusier in Calabria." Since 2010 he plays with 'klezmer orchestra "Ozhidanie" and "Barbesitos". Collaborated in the recording studio with "Fratelli Mancuso", "Mirror Floor Plan", "Rachele e l'armata corallina."
