Rich Campbell

Rich Campbell's performing credits include studio recordings, travelling stage shows and even stints on Mississippi riverboats. Most recently, he appears on the live album by ANTIGONE RISING: FROM THE GROUND UP (Atlantic/Lava) recorded at Sony Studios, NYC.

Rich also recently played with musical comedian STEPHEN LYNCH at Symphony Space in NYC. The shows were recorded for Stephen's new CD, "THE CRAIG MACHINE," on What Are Records. As keyboardist for international artists THE TRIPLETS he appeared on national TV (Joan Rivers, Rick Dees, Paul Rodriguez) and toured extensively, including a summer as opening act for rock legends CHICAGO. As a member of the band CADILLAC MOON he appeared in the worldwide hit film "Devil's Advocate."

Rich has toured Switzerland & Italy with songwriter STEVIE COCHRAN, playing at blues/ jazz festivals. Other recent touring has included concerts with rock legend SAM THE SHAM ("Wooly Bully") in Berlin and Stuttgart, Germany. He also played when SAM was honored at the Memphis Blues Ball. With the BLUES JUMPERS, he has appeared at the Montreux Jazz Festival, in Switzerland, and opened for BB KING in Vermont. He has played in the Dominican Republic with a dance band, and played a piano bar stint at the Baron in Copenhagen, Denmark.

As a songwriter, Rich has co-written songs on an album by THE TRIPLETS which was nominated for a Grammy. With CADILLAC MOON, he co-wrote most of their two CD's, including the song "Show Me Your Tattoo," played in "Devil's Advocate." New Age pianist CHRISTOPHER PEACOCK has included Rich's piece "Home Again" on the CD's "Destinations" and "Elements: Earth").

Rich has a Bachelor's in Music Ed from the Crane School of Music, SUNY @ Potsdam. He spent 6 years as a full time public school music teacher: general music, vocal/choir and theatre. He has taught for many years as a private piano teacher & vocal coach.

Rich is a marathon runner. He has completed 11 (New York-8 times, Boston, London & San Diego), with a personal best time of 3:15.

Rich plays at local clubs/piano bars; he’s at HELEN'S every Thursday at 9pm.
