Stephen Kerr

Stephen Kerr is a Downbeat award winning composer and multi-instrumentalist based in Greenfield, Massachusetts.

Raised in Central Massachusetts among a cadre of talented musicians such as Glenn and Mark Zalesky, Cat Tremblay, Lucas Apostoleris, and Mike Caudill, Kerr forged his practice in jam sessions from the age of 13 onwards.

Attending Umass Amherst, Kerr became in demand for sessions all over Western MA as an upright bass player, including such highlights as accompanying Sweet Honey in the Rock, opening for Herbie Hancock, and performing as an orchestra member in Boston's Symphony Hall.
