Thomas H. Kieren

Comes from Milwaukee Wisconsin. Attended Marquette U High, Holy Cross College and University of Chicago. Studied under Vernon Clauer and Sam Holdorff in Milwaukee while playing first trumpet in dance and marching bands including the Milwaukee Elks Club Youth Band. Similarly at Holy Cross and also co founded the Worcester Community Youth Band. Directed the newly create band at St. George's College during a teaching assignment there in Jamaica, W.I. following college.

Currently the Director of the Jefferson Jazz-Swing Sextet in Oak Ridge, NJ playing mostly 40s to70s jazz and swing music for community, church, library and commercial events - at various night clubs. Studied under Bud Herseth of the Chicago Symphony, Don Bathelder of Cali School of Music, Bruce Haag in Cincinnati, and James Thompson of the Eastman School of Music. Have performed at the Caroline Jazz Club in Milwaukee, Jiggs MacIntyre Music Saloon in Butler, Trumpets in Montclair, and the Zink Bar in NYC. Most recently, the Jefferson Township Public Library.
