Tom Donald was born in country Australia, in the town of Coonabarabran growing up outside Tamworth in picturesque northern New South Wales. Tamworth is known as the country & folk music capital of Australia.

Currently based London & Europe, Donald has forged a career of intensely original world & post-jazz classical piano music, which has won acclaim both on stage, recording and cinema.
