Vincent Heckard

VINCENT HECKARD is a percussionist and drummer specializing in World and Latin Percussion. For more than 20 years, Vincent has brought his flare and exuberance to performances and recordings with distinguished bands, entertainment companies, and solo artists. His wide-ranging musical experience includes forays into Brazilian and second line music, as well as jazz, funk, pop, bluegrass, West African, and hip hop styles. Vincent was trained by Master Percussionist Ron Powell and instructed by Jose Luis "Changuito" Quintana, Jesus Diaz, Michael Spiro, Robertito Melendez, Troy Parker, and the late Malonga Casquelourd.

Over the past few years, Vincent has recorded with rising stars 8th Day on their album Hooleh, Grammy-nominee Kelly Chapman, Los Angeles jazz ensemble Nostatic Trio, and several other respected players in the Los Angeles area.
