Yonatan Avi Oleiski

Yonatan Avi Oleiski is an acclaimed jazz drummer of sustained reputation in Israel. He is one of the very few Israeli jazz drummers who have risen to the top of his field, and he is highly sought after to perform with the Israel's top singers and jazz ensembles. He has also performed with the famous U.S. jazz saxophonist, Arnie Lawrence (among others, of Blood Sweat & Tears fame).

Mr. Oleiski performs regularly with ensembles for the Israel Broadcasting Authority (IBA), in both radio and television programs, and has currently been commissioned to work on a prestigious national Israeli project performing music settings for the poetry of The Israel Prize winner, Goethe winner and Nobel Prize candidate, Amos Oz. He has represented Israel in the 18th ANNUAL IASJ JAZZ MEETING held in Riga, Latvia and has been selected to perform in Israel's major international jazz festivals: the Jerusalem Jazz Festival and the Red Sea Jazz Festival.

He is numbered among the very few top jazz drummers in Israel and has been recorded with all of Israel's prominent musicians. Furthermore, his reputation precedes him in local and national jazz circles in the U.S.

Oleiski is expected to perform in the USA in the next three years. Represented by his agent, Mastery Productions LLC, he has been booked to perform with various ensembles in numerous venues in New York City, Boston, Pine Bluff, Arkansas and for a tour in Maine, the East Coast, and the U.S. tour of the popular U.K. ensemble, Jazzsteppa, covering the period of 2010-2013.
