Album Description

‘1977’ is a nostalgic tribute to a simpler time, where one of the most important news was a groundbreaking, new movie about a galaxy far, far away. At the same time, the single marks Røgsignals first step into a universe of new sounds. The single is produced in collaboration with fellow Dane Anders Boll ('Lowly', 'Efterklang' etc). He has contributed with both his epic collection of vintage synthesizers, and his ear for an original indie-edge, making the track a natural expansion of the sound, Røgsignal introduced on its debut-album 'Pletter På Solen' (Sun Spots) from 2016. The release of '1977' marks the beginning of an exciting time for the Aarhus-based band, with both concerts all over Denmark and the first recording sessions for a new album coming up. The co-lab with Anders will continue, and the album is set to be released sometime in the fall of 2018.

All About Jazz needs your support

Donate
All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
