Adam Nolan - 'This Irish Jazz'
1: There's always something more in you
This album is about the passion of Irish Improvisation. Rawness, risks, boldness, adventure, life, freedom of expression, movement, meditation, joy, bliss, drive, energy, ethnic and modern free jazz influence, fluidity, purpose and in the moment creativity are some of the foundational mindsets behind the experience. Recorded almost accidentally after Adam Nolan Trio - 'The Great Conjunction' album recording session. The recording session was over and we had already played for an hour as a trio. After bassist David Redmond had left, drummer Tom Corcoran suggested a few times we go again so after a quick rethink and a few minutes of fresh air I finally decided that we would go for it as a saxophone and drums duo and go full blast for what ended up being a 50 minute take. Like all my jazz music, everything here is completely improvised and all in 1 take. No retakes. 1 Life, 1 Moment, 1 Take. Let's Go! "THIS IS IRISH JAZZ" Line up: Adam Nolan - Tenor Saxophone Tom Corcoran - Drums Recorded/Mixed/Mastered - Martin Drennan Recorded on the 21st of December 2021, the date of the Great Conjunction where Jupiter and Saturn aligned in our solar system kicking off the beginning of the Age of Aquarius. A new era for humanity of creative freedom, elevation and growth. This album is a statement that Irish Jazz is alive and taking risks no others out there are at this time. credits Thank you everyone for all the support. What a journey. So much to think about. Thanks to everyone who supported me along the way and those who didn't. You pushed me in ways I believed was not possible. I hope ya'll dig it. Plenty more where that came from. We're in the future now. Let's keep going! Big love guys. Life is Great! Peace <3
