Adam Faulk
Raised between both the Boston suburb West Medford, and the city of Philadelphia, Adam was consistently surrounded by music since birth. Being exposed to music through the platform of music education shared by his mother, grandmother and several aunts started the initial entry into the art form via the violin at age 5. Soon after the viola made its way into the arsenal which would soon allow him to perform in many orchestras across the world.
After receiving an invitation by The Greater Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra to join them for a tour of England and Ireland the ensemble made its debut at The historic Royal Festival Hall along with several historic cathedrals throughout the 2 countries. It was in high school that Adam began his journey on piano, after being introduced to the music of pianists such as Herbie Hancock and Wynton Kelly. He began studying at the New England Conservatory with George W. Russell Jr., and later earned his Bachelor's degree from The Oberlin Conservatory of Music.
Since graduating from college, he has been blessed with the privilege to perform world wide with: Billy Paul, Aretha Franklin, James Carter, Gerald Veasley, Kirk Whalum, Terrence Howard, Ronnie Burrage, MC Lyte, James McBride, Jon Blake Jr., Doc Gibbs, and a host of others.
Adam has also placed his gift in the world of music education as the co-creator and member of "Toque de Vida" (A Touch of Life) where he used music to educate, inspire, and include at risk children hailing from Brazil's favela neighborhoods.
Adam’s dedication to the art form will never be compromised as he has a clear and direct path: to touch the world using the universal language that binds us all, music. Source: Adam Faulk
