Ademar Ademar

Born in 1948 in Santa Catarina, Brasil. He grew up in Curitiba, Parana, Brasil. Ademar Fonseca is a highly talented brazilian musician with uncommon knowledge of music gained since early age. At age eight he acquired his first acoustic guitar. At age 13 he put together his first band. It was a duo with his brother Ademir on vocal and percussion. As his style developed he continued to perform in bars, musical shows, radio stations, theaters, concert halls, museums and in the most famous carnival in the world. His talent with a variety of musical instruments: upright bass, eletric bass guitar, acoustic guitar, acoustic guitar and vocal, only added to his appeal. Here in the USA, he enjoyed different bands, participated in recording a CD with the brazilian band “O Som do Jazz”, also as a freelancer musician, now devoting full time to music and playing several diffferent styles like bossa nova, pop, jazz, blues ...showing “samba” authentically from a true Brazilian.

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
