Ademola Adegun

I was born and raised in Lagos Nigeria (West Africa). When I was 10 years old, my brothers taught me how to beat the drums. At the beginning I like drumming, but later I got tired of it and will like to move to strings and winds instrument. I join the school band learning how to play saxophone, later I found out that this is not what I want. When I was 23yrs of age,my brother (Victor) show me how to play string (Guitar) instrument. After College I developed interest in playing the Bass guitar.I got hooked into playing Jazz after listening to several Jazz bass musicians like Jaco Pastorius,Dave Carpenter,Victor Bailey,John Partitucci, Jeff Berlin and many more. My musical ability has increased tremendously after listening and performing with great bands and musicians.I have perform with various different artist from around the world.Recently performing with a brazilian jazz band named XIBABA and also working as a session man in various studios.

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
