Alexander Brott

Alexander Brott is a Swedish/Canadian guitarist and composer who plays with some of the world's finest jazz musicians in New York City and Europe. Born into a family of prodigious musicians, this young guitarist has already made a name for himself through his unique melodicism, impressive technique and comprehensive knowledge of the jazz styles of the 30’s to 50’s.

Since graduating from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm in 2015, Alexander quickly became one of the most sought after guitarists in Sweden, playing and touring with musicians such as Amanda Sedgwick, Dwayne Clemons, Ulf Johansson Werre and Bernt Rosengren. He would subsequently travel to New York City for long periods of time before moving there, absorbing the jazz scene while further honing his craft. Before long he was one of the city's most in demand guitarists, performing every night of the week. Alexander has appeared in acclaimed movies, performed for royalty, been awarded prestigious grants and received glowing reviews for his music.

“Tradition and lovely innovation: Alexander Brott has the ambition and the gift... Leif Domnérus, Swedish Jazz Critic

“Alexander Brott is one of my favorite young players on the scene. His playing is so pure in terms of where he’s coming from and also how personal his approach is. This album is a beautiful representation of his elegant playing and his fantastic writing. Every tune is masterfully constructed and a perfect vehicle for this amazing band. All of these great musicians are playing from a place of empathy and love. This a great record!!” – Peter Bernstein
