Alison Marae Alison Marae

San Diego musician, Alison Marae and independent label, Chanteuse Records, released her 6 song debut album on November 1, 2012. The album features four originals written by Alison Marae. Musically inspired by early jazz and lyrically inspired by matters of the heart. She also offers listeners an intriguing juxtaposition of sultry and sweet vocals on the album with her interpretation of two classic jazz standards.

Musicians on the album include San Diego artists, Sky Ladd, Harley Magsino, Brian Demeulle, Don Shaffer, Wil Forbis and with Alison on vocals, ukulele and piano.

With over 12 years as a teaching artist, she prides herself in being a patient and nurturing instructor. Students will develop their music technique, develop skills, songs, ear- training and sight-singing. Students will learn about music theory and even how to read music in a fun and positive environment developed specifically for children
