“It is obvious from the first joyful scat-filled notes on “Yardbird Suite” that Alyssa
Allgood is one of the top up-and-coming jazz singers around today. Her voice is
clear, flexible and appealing, and she has a real feel for the music. The album
Lady Bird, which serves as an excellent introduction to Alyssa Allgood, will
delight fans of straight ahead bop-oriented jazz.”
