Ambrose Pottie

Ambrose Pottie, originally from Spryfield, Nova Scotia is a Torontobased musician and graphic designer. He studied design and photography at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Primarily a self taught musician, he has recorded and/or performed with Bob Becker, Anne Bourne, Chris Brown, Eugene Chadbourne,Crash Vegas, Andrew Cyrille, Fred Frith, Bill Grove, Guy Klucevsek,Evan Lurie, Polka Dogs, Tom Walsh, Richard Sacks,Eric Schenckman, Andrew Staniland, and Bob Wiseman. The highlight of his musical career was playing a metal ashtray with Allan Toussaint on a live rendition of "Working in a Coal Mine".

Ambrose is currently working with guitarist Neil Clark and bassist Alisdair Jones as Sleepers. Sleepers recently released their first full length recording.
