He was born in Geneva, Switzerland, 1972.

Music Education: 1991 – 1992 American Institute of Music, Vienna, Austria 1992 – 1996 Ferenc Erkel Music School, Budapest, Hungary 1996 – 2000 Jazz Department of the Ferenc Liszt Music Academy earned Cum Laude Bachelor’s Degree as a jazz-guitar performer and teacher, Budapest, Hungary 2001 – 2002 Jazz Department of The Royal Conservatory, Hague, Netherlands 2015 – 2016 Jazz Department of the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music, Master of Arts in Teacher Education Summer courses: 1999 – Berklee Clinic, Perugia, Italy, (won a scholarship to the Berklee College of Music) 1996 – 1998 International Jazz Summer Courses, Tatabanya, Hungary

Group playing experiences, Concerts, Composing: In August 2001 Andras Parniczky founded the group Nigun, since than they scored great success with performing in Europe and in the US as well. Besides Nigun he has always led his own groups like Parniczky Quartet. He performed John Zorn's Cobra under the prompting of Zorn himself at the MÜPA. He has played and/or recorded with Don Byron, Steven Bernstein, Frank London and Matt Darriau (Klezmatics), Aaron Alexander, Arthur Kell, Daniel Zamir, Daniel Erdmann, Frank Möbus, Frits Landensbergen, Klemens Marktl, Kristof Bacso, Mihaly Dresch, Miklos Lukacs, Daniel Szabo, Bea Palya and classical piano artist Adam Fellegi. He's a member of the Hungarian Soundpainting Orchestra led by Samuel Gryllus
