Album Description

Paul Tynan and Jake Hanlon have been making music together for over a decade. Some times intimate, sometime aggressive always striving for the highest ascetic. The Duo is a vessel of creative musical chemistry; full of interplay and blossoming textures. Playing newly composed music, free improvisations and classics from the American song book the duo has completed its first recording entitled Autumn Song (Armored Records). Both Paul and Jake currently hold professorships at St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia and are active holding down the fort in the most eastern Jazz enclave in North America. When not playing Jazz Paul enjoys sandwiches and Jake is often seen dreaming of water skiing while being tethered to the back of a zeppelin.
