BB studied piano from the age of six, starting to write piano pieces at eight.
Composing for film, she specializes in haunting, lyrical themes and variations for piano.
As a songwriter, BB writes in English and French and occasionally collaborates with lyricists. To date she has a vast catalogue of songs recorded by jazz singers and performed in shows.
BB Cooper hearkens back to a time when names like Berlin, Rodgers or Bacharach were equal in importance to those of the band and the singer. There is no one else in the mainstream, or any stream for that matter, who is able to release albums comprised entirely of their own new music and have it performed as eloquently.
BB Cooper also draws from a myriad of styles that include Latin, cool, swing, classical, soul and the blues.
