Album Description

I thought Kent Carter's 80th birthday in June 2019 would be a great opportunity to finally release all the recordings made in April 2002 at the Alhambra-Colbert studio in Rochefort by François Gaucher, the sound engineer who also recorded the “Hauts Plateaux” sessions ten years before. I had already used five pieces of this recordings series to be part of the compilation of my work with Kent and Jeff (Boudreaux) released in 2011 under the title “Plaything”. I had judged at the time that the Rochefort sessions could not be published in their entirety because they were not good enough. When I am in this state of mind, I should be forbidden to access my own archives.
