This February 26th & 27th, 2010 - The Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra goes Carioca featuring guest Music Director Cliff Korman, and friends. The evening will be a celebration of the Samba, the Bossa Nova, and other Afro Brazilian rhythms. The Orchestra will explore the genius of Hermeto Pascoal and feature special guests Vanderlei Pereira and Paul Leiberman, amongst many others.

Os Cariocas started his career in the '40s, when Bossa Nova was not even dreamt of. Strongly influenced by the vocal groups of the “golden era" of American music, they recorded every rhythm that was fashionable in Brazil and weer acclaimed, in the '50s, as one of the best vocal groups in Brazil.
