Carlos Homs

I grew up in New Jersey during the '90s pop explosion. I gravitated towards hip-hop and R&B. Hot97 FM was the soundtrack of my youth. My parents helped me nurture my love of music by letting me take piano lessons in the 5th grade. Since my first lesson, I have studied classical music (baroque, romantic, impressionist, serial) and jazz. Aside from my studies, I began composing material and improvising with friends.

Among these friends included Mark Stewart, Colin Biedermann, Alex Wintz, Marcus Miller, Tyshawn Sorey and Irwin Hall. I am a graduate of New School University in Manhattan. I also went to Berklee for two years to study sound design.

I have had the privilege to work professionally with Bernard Purdie, Peter Evans, Michael Moore, Wolter Wierbos, Jim Black, Steven Ruel, Jason Palmer and many others.

I am also a producer/songwriter in a production team called Let's Go to War. We make pop music for pop artists.
