Carole Troll's roots are steeped in music and culture. Her mother, Ineta was a classical vocalist who graced many concert stages singing for heads of state and celebrated personalities of the day. Her father, William was the manager and golf pro for a private country club and had hoped to groom Carole to be a talented female golfer of color. Carole had other plans.... She would often sneak into the basement of their home and listen to Sarah Vaughn, Billie Holiday, Dakota Staton and Dinah Washington, wearing her mother's jewelry and pretending she was dressed to the nines in a fancy jazz club. Due to changes in musical tastes, Carole moved on to persue her second love...acting! It's nice to receive a cd submission with heart. Just look at her, one look and you know: she's got it. She's full of heart and soul and power from the minute you turn the cd on. Summertime, is one example from her new demo, Fine and Mellow. Hitting high notes diving down into growls and rising again. Impetuous. The second track and title track is as promises. Fine and Mellow is sultry and sassy, then ellipses into a Streisand/Broadway feel. Listen and make your own comparison. If you like jazz, you will love Troll.
