Cassandre McKinley Cassandre McKinley

Jazz Vocalist Cassandre McKinley will release her debut album under the MAXJAZZ label “TIL TOMORROW - Remembering Marvin Gaye” on August 29th, 2006.

In this body of work, McKinley delivers her interpretation of selected music Gaye wrote, co-wrote and performed throughout his career. From inception to execution, McKinley's sensitivity to Gaye's message and her rich, warm sound combine to pull this project far, far away from the ordinary - creating a genre that just fits between Jazz, Smooth Jazz and R & B - soulful and creative.

From her 2004 self-released album “BARING THE SOUL” - this new album exhibits Cassandre's continuing exploration of Nu-Jazz and Soul focusing on additional material by this great soul icon.

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
