Charles Chace is a artist/musician. He produces multi-instrumental improvised works with the use of multi-track recording under the pseudo group The Paul Swest. These recordings have earned critical accolades—his debut release Wizard Talk was described as a sonic adventure full of texture. He plays (guitar) live in a trio under the same moniker with drummer Tony Stiglitz and bassist Casey Toll making it possible for Chace to translate the studio into an even more dynamic live experience. Working in perfect unison, the three musicians precipitate a vision that rips the future into the now.

Charles Chace likes to make a racket. When he’s recording on his own as The Paul
Swest, he bounces between instruments, constructing layered improvisations that
range from free-form splatter to surf-jazz, from Derek Bailey to post-rock. The live
version of the band should keep the same loose feel. Chace is on guitar, joined by
bassist Casey Toll (Mount Moriah) and drummer Tony Stiglitz (Chris Stamey, Free
Electric State). It should make for a challenging but intriguing set.
