Chris Billiau

Chris Billiau is an accomplished 7-string jazz guitarist from Old Saybrook who performs solo and with local big bands such as the George Manstan Big Bag and String of Pearls. Hailing from the Chicago area, Chris studied guitar under Fareed Haque at Columbia College and jazz composition with Eddie Baker at Roosevelt University.

Though thoroughly comfortable with modern jazz guitar playing, Chris's current work focuses on early pre-swing era guitar.
