Cleve Douglass' vocal abilities defy the ordinary classifications of category. His musical maturity, wide-range of experience and fearless improvisational skiils combine to allow this artist to deliver fully in many modes of musical styles that include jazz, blues, country, swing, bossa , dance ,and balladry. His voice is the full expression of American music in all its various forms. A native of Nashville, Tennessee, Cleve was born with a musical pedigree. His mother , the late Marie Brown-Douglass, was a long-time big band drummer who introduced Cleve to the world of professional music at a young age.

Cleve's early training included an introduction to European Classical (bel canto singing and Opera); but throughout high school Cleve integrated his vocal training with guitar and folk singing appearing regularly in restaurants, hotels and coffee shops.

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded albums and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, limited reopenings and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary step that will help musicians and venues now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the sticky footer ad). Thank you!
