Colorado Jazz Repertory Orchestra

The Colorado Jazz Repertory Orchestra is made up of Colorado’s best musicians performing classic big band jazz and modern large jazz ensemble music. The CJRO plays to sold-out houses at concert venues and jazz festivals throughout the area, performing tunes from the libraries of (to name a few) Count Basie, Thad Jones, Woody Herman, Duke Ellington, Maynard Ferguson, as well as band member composers. The CJRO regularly performs at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities, the PACE Center in Parker, CO, the Lakewood Cultural Center, and the Rialto Theater in Loveland, CO. Please visit our website: Coloradojazz.org, to hear clips of the band and sign up for our email list! The CJRO’s debut CD, “Invitation” has been released on Origin Records. Art Bouton , CJRO Director and Professor of Saxophone at the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music, founded the band in 2012 with the mission of performing the best music with the best players. www.coloradojazz.org
