Craig Enright

Born in Omaha and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Craig Enright currently lives in Stamford, Connecticut, just around the corner from New York city. He has been occasionally playing with New York based Jazz and Latin musicians since early 2006. In February, 2007, together with conga player Aryam Vazquez (Cuba), they began forming the working group that performs on "La Belleza". While two of the pieces were re-writes from a number of years ago, Craig wrote the other seven tunes beginning in the summer of 2007. The combined resumes of the band members is exceptional. Enrique Haneine (piano, Meixco) has played in most every major venue in NYC, has served as musical director for Ricky Martin, and has played with Jerry Bergonzi, Bobby Sanabria, Joe Lovano, Jon Faddis, Ingrid Jensen and many others. Ludwig Afonso (drums, Cuba) is an NYC regular and has toured with Spyro Gyra; Alex Hernandez (bass, Miami) has worked with Latin/Jazz greats Bobby Sanabria and Jerry Gonzalez; Aryam Vazquez (congas, Cuba) has worked with Dave Valentine, Steve Turre, Juan Pablo Torres and Paquito de Rivera, among others.
