Cynthia Kaay Bennett is an Ohio native with a strong background as a musician as well as singer. In addition to playing clubs in the Midwest for the past 8 years, earlier in her career she toured in various states across the country for over 6 years, including a tour with the U.S. Continental Army Jazz Band. In her travels, she has performed at venues such as the Savannah Jazz Festival, French Lick Springs Jazz Festival & gala big band events at the Opryland Hotel. . She receives great reviews from musicians, club owners, radio personalities, jazz critics, and her audiences. Her 1st two jazz CDs, "Wish I Knew" and “That’s the Spirit” have received airplay on over 50 radio stations all over the U.S., Canada, and Europe.

"Wish I Knew" has a strong blues flair. The album is full of amazing vocals and incredible musicianship. I was captivated by Cynthia's sensitive interpretation of "Jones For You", "Thinkin' 'Bout You", "Getting What I Deserve" and the hauntingly beautiful "A Lover Is Forever". Having reviewed Cynthia's debut album Wish I Knew a couple of years ago, I'm not surprised that this release (That’s the Spirit) is nothing less than great.
