Dakota Lior

Dakota Lior is a singer, composer, keyboardist. Dakota's musicianship varies from blues, jazz and funk. She's been taught by great musicians including Diana Richardson, Carlos Campos, Russel Ferrante, Mike Campbell, Dida Pelled, Aubrey Johnson. Dakota has graduated from National University of Arts in 2009 as a choir conductor (Astana, KZ). After the graduation she had been accepted to Musician Institute in Los Angeles, CA. Dakota performed as a leader or her own band as well as a part of Heli Kools and Aj De Guzman bands. She also covered music for "Da' Hip-Hop Wizzard of Oz". Dakota currently attends Berklee College of Music. At this moment she is working on her first album which is planned to be released in August 2012. On the other side she's been giving performances with her own band in Boston and New York. She appeared on a stage at Cafe Muse, Cafe Audrey, Pig n' Whistle, All Asia bar, The Middle East, Mc Gann's, Kenny's Castaways, Billie's Black, Shrine World Music Venue, Matchless, The Local 269. Dakota is a touring musician. She had been performed in Central Asia and Europe. She appeared in all venues in Astana, Kazakhstan including several concerts in front of the president. She was hardly involved in a choir of the National University of Arts which had been a winner in a choir competition in 2008 between Central Asia and Europe.
