Daniel Benisty

London-born Daniel Benisty is a singer, pianist, bandleader, musical director, accompanist, teacher and events manager. Solo or with other musicians and singers, he entertains with many styles of music, including Swing, Jazz, Soul, Classical, Rock, Pop, RnB, Motown, Latin and World Music. Having travelled and worked extensively on cruise ships and lived abroad in France, Germany, Switzerland and Spain, Daniel also sings in a number of languages, including Russian, Portuguese, French and Spanish. Daniel is also a songwriter under the influence of Tom Waits, Jeff Buckley, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Wonder, Elvis, Joni Mitchell, The Doors and Muse.

Daniel Benisty has made an unusual journey thru music. From self- schooled classical pianist to singer-songwriter, blues singer to languages student, Daniel's travels took him around the globe and to Montreux Switzerland where he worked with David Richards and Muriel Dubuis (both leading figures of Montreux Jazz and Jazz Schools in the region). Daniel now holds a jazz piano trio residency on Wednesdays and occasional weekend dates at Caffe Concerto as well as playing events and festivals around the country. A singer of songs in 8 languages with a particular fondness for the Italian, Spanish and Portuguese repertoire, Daniel also likes to perform renditions of Sinatra and Billie Holiday in his native language.
