Velvet Voyage is a jazz based group fluent in many styles. After forming in 2009, Vincent Veith (piano), Ivan George (drums) and Darren Frate (bass) released their self titled cd ”Velvet Voyage”. That cd featured all original tracks with guest artists Jamey Haddad (percussion for Paul Simon) and Bobby Selvaggio (sax). In 2010 the group added woodwind player Dave Kasper to the lineup and released their second cd “Dysfunction Junction” which featured guitarist Mike Stern (Miles Davis, Jaco Pastorius) on the track “Saho”.
