David Neves

David Neves is currently a member of The Juilliard School’s prestigious Artist Diploma program, which brought him to New York City from his home town of Boston. He has performed throughout the United States, Europe, and Central America, and in 2010 was the winner of the International Trumpet Guild Jazz Solo Competition held in Sydney, Australia. David has performed with a long list of jazz greats including Wayne Shorter, Terri Lynn Carrington, Danilo Perez, Phil Wilson, John Patitucci, Miguel Zenón, Jason Palmer, and George Garzone, among many others. David’s debut album Progress Report (released in 2014, and produced by Michael Thomas) contains a set of original music performed by some of the East Coast’s most in-demand musicians. Since the release of this recording, David has continued composing for his quartet and quintet, and can be heard frequently in New York City and Boston.
