Aaron Abrahamson Cote

With 5 international tours under his belt, Aaron Abrahamson Cote has worked with The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Bobby McFerrin, Glenn Kotche of Wilco, Alex from The Gaslight Anthem, ska legends The Skatalites, Bim Skala Bim, Vic Ruggiero (The Slackers), King Django, Murphy's Law & numerous television and Broadway Actors. Recording credits include Dr. Ring Ding, Adam "Flymo Birch" (The Specials, Laurel Aitken), Victor Rice, Agent Jay, The Island Time Steel Band, The Copacetics, Sinfonia da Camera, among others. In 2013, Cote wrote over 50 Caribbean Jazz tunes, many of which were published by HillBridge Music and Tropical Shores Productions. His books are accompanied by backing tracks to aid solo musicians in practice and performance. Cote also served as a board member of The Arts & Cultural Alliance of Newport County (2012-14) and the director of Newport BridgeFest (2014-15), a local live music festival in collaboration with the Newport Folk and Jazz Festivals.

Mr. Cote obtained his Bachelors from Butler University and his Masters in Music Performance as a Graduate Teacher & New Music resident at the University of Illinois. He regularly performs with The Island Time Steel Band, Panoramic View, The White-Eyed Lizard Band, and The Copacetics, and as a freelancer and/or sub for bands including Steel Rhythm, Steel Accent, The Void Union, etc. Hire Aaron Abrahamson Cote at [email protected].
