Adam Ramsay/C.J. Glass Quintet

The Adam Ramsay - C.J. Glass Quintet is a jazz performance group currently based in New York City. Its members, two of whom are alumni of the Vermont All-State Jazz Ensemble, hail from along the eastern seaboard. Originally founded as The Delta Brothers Band, the seedlings for The Adam Ramsay - C.J. Glass Quintet were planted at Ithaca College several years ago by Mike Treat (trumpet), Adam Ramsay (saxophones, clarinet, flute), and C.J. Glass (guitar, voice). Alex Rivas (drum set) and Steve Gelfand (electric bass guitar) joined the group shortly after its relocation to New York City. Individually, the musicians in The Adam Ramsay - C.J. Glass Quintet have performed with Gary Smulyan (Vanguard Jazz Orchestra), Lew Soloff (Blood, Sweat, and Tears), Hilary Kole, Marcus Roberts, Michael Mossman (Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra), Hall and Oates, Pey Dalid, and in Broadway musicals including Rent and Little Shop of Horrors. Together, The Quintet strives to present original and standard jazz repertoire that is exciting, progressive, and accessible, while remaining rooted in tradition.

The Adam Ramsay - C.J. Glass Quintet regularly performs to packed houses in the New York metropolitan area
