Alexis Morrast
Being so young she's had such great opportunities from sitting in to working with greats like Ray Chew, Amina Figorova, Alvester Garnett and the incredible Bertha Hope. She studied under Conrad Herwig, took part in several jazz events and venues; meeting and greeting countless musicians and performers; Dionne Warwick, Lalah Hathaway, Twinkie Clark and Danny Mixon causes her to feel blessed, honored, humbled and striving for her best!!!
Alexis has several artistic influences beginning with her mom, dad and her aunt Vernell a recording artist in the group Koffee Brown. There are others she adds to the list
for either their instrumental genius, their raw vocal talents or a combination of the two; those being Stevie Wonder, Cecile McLorin Salvant, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan and Lalah Hathaway just to name a few.
This is a young girl with an old soul!
