Anthony Everest

An Internet artist has held the No1 position on UK Jazz Charts ARTISTE for an incredible 15 weeks and No1 Global Jazz Charts Artiste for 4 Weeks, simultaneously; beating Jamie Culum (No4), James Morrison, James Blunt and was Higher than, Usher, Rhiannna and Madonna by at least 10 places, or more in the All Genre Charts between Oct 2008 to Jan 2009.

Singer/songwriter Anthony Everest is relatively unknown except to his fans and the hundreds of people who have downloaded his track Follow Your Dreams, but it was doing just that which led to his change of fortune.

“I learn from falling, then I rise, and rise and rise again...”

Everest is an extra ordinary talented artiste (Songwriter) whose vocal dexterity stretches across Jazz, Folk, Pop, Blues, Soul music and even Motown. He makes songs his own with a unique identity by Anthonizing 'songs. But his genre is Jazz & Blues.

With the ability to ease listeners through the night with songs like 'What a wonderful world, made famous by Louie Armstrong, ‘My baby just cares for me, a classic of Nina Simone, or Think by Aretha Franklin, vocally colleagues often refer to him as the male version of Billy Holliday, and think Macy Gray.

Follow Your Dreams - The digital Release - is a reflection and celebration of Anthony Everest Music, song-writing talent, rather than solely the vocal performances.

“The project is aimed at singers looking for songs, media and producers looking to synchronize original music or songs into various forms of media or production(s),” says Everest.

It also celebrates his Love for Music and Songwritng which boasts of a repertoire of over 220 original songs self written / co-written with various talents or colleagues, including standards.

One of his songs, a Jazz balled entitled Groomed For Stardom made top 20 on myspace jazz charts for the better part of 2007-2008, and danced for Kylie Minogue “Spinning Around Video”, Girls Aloud “Love Machine” acted on Eastenders and appeared in a few TV commercials i.e. Terry’s Chocolate Orange, Natwest etc.

Having performed all over UK Everest is a groomed and great entertainer with a presence and ability to engage the crowd with his big voice and personality. And thanks to the internet explosion Everest has been profiled on BBC World Service as a break through, original, African, independent artist.

Anthony Everest was recently hand picked out of hundreds of thousands of Singer-songwriters, Producers and Musicians, on Sonicbids, to be signed up, to a non exclusive world-wide synchronisation deal. Meaning his original music will be used in Films and Tv commercials internationally. He is one of 10 lucky winners chosen from this online competiton. Four of his songs have been chosen, 3 from the “Follow Your Dreams” Digital album Release.
