Anton Testa

I am a seasoned upright bassist, who has played with many musicians and at many events. I have toured in the past and have played to large audiences. I enjoy playing to small groups in clubs and restaurants and to people who love music. I play classic jazz standards and songs from the American songbook. I also like a little rockabilly, which I call antique rock. To understand me and my playing ability; I am a structured bassist; read bass clef script, and play in many areas of the position on the bass which includes triads, sixths, sevenths, and dominant sevenths, as the music needs. I am an improvising bassist and can play any type of music although I limit myself to jazz and classic standards. I can be an added accompanist to your piano, sax, jazz guitar, and other instruments such as flute, clarinet and jazz violin.
