Bess Durey

Born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan, Bess Durey carving out her own unique space as an impressive singer, composer and bandleader on the Canadian Jazz scene. With a “fluid and pitch-perfect voice”, Bess is on the forefront of a new generation of Canadian Jazz singers. Her refreshingly natural soprano tone floats above the backdrop of her many talents as an improviser, lyricist and composer. Bess performs with a genuine emotional authenticity that dazzles her audiences, singing from the heart “with a knowing that bellies her youth”.
