Borderline Ensemble
Borderline Ensemble is Denmarks first orchestra, who creates music, exclusively with the sign language Soundpainting. As if that's not dangerous enough, the Ensemble has joined forces with Danish multiartist Torsten ”T.S.” Høeg to release their debut, Beware.
Soundpainting is the live composing sign language created by New York composer Walter Thompson. Leading the 8 other musicians of Borderline Ensemble through the unknown terretories of the livecomposition, and using more than 750 Soundpainting-signs, are the two conductors Gustav Rasmussen og Ketil Duckert.
On Beware, this spontanously composed music is created around a series of poems by multiartist T.S. Høeg, all about two main-subjects: ”Music” and ”Love”. All recordings, music as well as reading, were recorded ”live” in the studio
