Bud Leeds

Former Vice President of Middlebury College (VT), Bud Leeds’ career has spanned decades in extraordinary service to culture and education. He was instrumental, with Steven Rockefeller and Bill Moyers in establishing the Spirit and Nature, Earth Ministry, with other countless accomplishments of visionary organization and collaboration.

In addition, Bud has been acclaimed as “a 21st Century Renaissance Man” in a recent international jazz publication. Bud is president emeritus and vice-chairman of the Jefferson Legacy Foundation. He has participated in White House ceremonies and played his clarinet in venues throughout the U.S., India, Nepal and several European countries, while serving as Director of the International Development Council and Chair of the World Congress on Philanthropy. When clarinetist Bud Leeds pulls together a band for a concert, you can never be sure what you'll get, numbers-wise, but it is a guaranteed good time. Such was the case with his Friday, February 8 matinee concert for the South County Jazz Club in Venice FL. Clarinetist Bud Leeds was in fine company—and good spirits—for the South County Jazz Club's first concert of the 2017-2018 season on Monday, November 20. His quartet included multi-instrumentalist Bob MacInnis, Bob Leary on banjo, rhythm guitar and occasional vocals, and piano marvel Bobby van Deusen.
