Christian Pamerleau

Christian Pamerleau was born in the Saguenay region in Quebec Canada and began his professional career in the late 1980’s after completing studies at the Conservatoire de Musique de Québec , Cegep St-Laurent and University of Montreal. Over the last 20 years, he performed and recorded with the elite of the local and international jazz and pop scene with such artists as: Carol Welsman, Robert Charlebois, Michel Cusson, Fraser Hollins, Alain Caron, Jean St-Jacques, François D’Amours , Philippe Noireaut, Daniel Lessard, Joshua Lebofsky, Jeff Johnston, Frédéric Alarie, Pierre C�'té, Lorraine Desmarais, Jean-Pierre Ferland, Bet.E and Stef , Petula Clark, Joe Bocan, Marie-Denise Pelletier and many more. In addition, he appeared on more than 300 television variety shows and specials in various musical formats and taught drums at the Cegep of Drummondville and Montreal university, He is currently teaching drums at the Cegep Marie-Victorin in Montreal. Composition is a part of his musical activities with the release in 2000 of his first CD “Airborn” The second cd with his Vue d'Ensemble group featuring new compositions of his own was release in October 2008. Now a quartet, Vue d'Ensemble released is latest Everyday Learning in march 2012 availbale on the web.The band was also nominate for the Opus prize in the jazz -world music concert of the year 2010. Pamerleau is renown for his musical approach to the drumset and his creativity.
