Dave Markivee

Drummer turned keyboardist. I studied classical percussion and drumset for over 20 years and learned music theory along the way, paving the way for me to write for other instruments, keyboards, horns, bass, etc. Influenced by early jazz and fusion artists such as Weather Report, Return To Forever, The Brecker Brothers, George Duke, Jeff Lorber and The Yellowjackets.

Keyboardist for Dreaming In Colour - a contemporary jazz / fusion ensemble that performs around the midwest, has an album released, produced by Jeff Lorber, titled "The Dream Merchant" that has worldwide acclaim.

I also have a group called The Generations Project, where my son, Michael and I write and produce jazz/rock fusion mainly for the internet.
