Dave Wilkinson

Born in the UK and now residing in Barcelona, Spain, Dave Wilkinson (aka David Philips) is a hyperactive guitarist, singer songwriter, so unable to sit still for 5 minutes that he needs 2 names!

Noted for his wide range of styles, Dave is equally at home swinging over hard be-bop as he is getting down and funky Grant Green style, or funky chicken scratchin Meters style, or heavy texas blues shufflin', or Bob Dylanesque acoustic picking.

Dave plays with many different bands and musical projects both as a front man and side man. His own bands, Phat Fred and Fast3, have released and sold records throughout the world. As a side man he has played (and still does) along side artists such as Brian Jackson, George Braith, Charlie Wood, Alvin Youngblood Hart, Ray Gelato, Hook Herrera to name a few.

He can also be found recording and performing his original songs and unique cover versions under the name of David Philips, both solo and within the genre smashing Sub Lengua.

And as if that isn't enough, other projects include soul/blues organ trio Yes Indeed!, Fred Leslies missing Link and Spanish cyber funk outfit Waste. Dave has also recorded/wrote music for companies including Volswagon, Audi and Honda.

At present, aside from playing live, Dave is busy writing new albums with Phat Fred, Fast3 and Sub Lengua.
